Well today Josh and I decided it was best for us to move closer to Madison. Josh has school there and soon I shall be employed there. Who wants the long drive? Not me! With these gas prices, we'll be shelling out a lot of money. Plus, the long commute does not sound appealing.
Stop #1....We saw this apartment on-line and it looks awesome...Right next to a lake, gorgeous views and huge rooms.....Reality...We entered the complex and it seriously looked like the projects. No water front views insight, Josh and I looked at eachother with shear disappointment. With curiousness in our minds, we went ahead and took the grand tour. The apartment smelled like cat piss and it was a wonderful view of the road. blahhhhhh...and the manager thought it was a steal for $850 a month! What! Yeah- we got the hell outta there.
Stop #2....On the internet, this next place boosted about a huge fitness center, great spacious apartments...we still had hope. Our first sign that this wasn't the place was the bitchy manager. She really acted annoyed to even show us an apartment. Of course, I just smiled, thinking 'kill her with kindness!' yeah that worked...umm not. So we entered the place....ok folks, you know that lime green '70's decor? yeah it was all over the kitchen. Along with cigarette burns on the counter, floors....I even found bugs all over the bathroom floor...ewwww!!!! As Josh began studying all the cracks in the wall, I made a dash for the door. Again, the manager thought this dump was a steal for $900 a month!!
Stop #3....This place was nice, I mean $1300 a month real nice. End of that story...too much.
Isn't there such thing as a happy medium????
