The day in life of Preston William

Poor Preston has an ear infection. I took him to the doctor the other day and he had to get a shot of penicillin. Preston's had 5 ear infections this past year. The doc said one more and he's putting ear tubes in. Poor kid. As a parent, I feel like I should be doing more to protect him from getting sick. But it's completely out of my control - so it's hard to see him in agony. Well we got home yesterday from the doctor and he fell asleep for 2 solid hours. Upon awakening, he was bright eyed and all smiles. Awwww gotta love drugs - it did the trick. Preston is back to his playful, happy self. Content child = Content parent. Now I just need this kid to sleep through the night and all will be good...
He is just about ready to walk. He'll take 2 steps before falling flat on his butt. But, he just shakes it off and climbs right back up for attempt #2. Any day he'll just start running - I know it. I have the camera ready for this occasion.
I got this pamplet in the mail about what to expect out of a 12 month old. It was good and all...but it actually had a section about pottie training. WTF. Like a 12 month old is really going to go pee in the toilet all by himself? Preston can't even walk yet let alone climb up on the toilet seat. Good Grief. I then realized this propaganda was sponsored by the government. awwww that explains everything! Potty training for a 12 month old baby - my ass!
