One of those weeks...

What a week!

Our poor Durango has been through hell and back. It all started when the battery wouldn't start at the airport - we just thought the battery was drained dued to -17 degree weather. So, after getting a jump, the next day it wouldn't start. OK. Bad battery. Josh makes the trek to Walmart to get a new one. No biggie - problem solved. Rigghhhttttt - we wish.
Two weeks later - the Durango refused to start. That the ...... So we try jumping it - no go. Then we charge the battery all night - still nothing.
God Bless USAA (our auto insurance) and their awesome road side assistance. We got a tow to a Midas Auto in a neighboring town. Now all we had to do was wait to hear the prognosis.
Remember that battery? You know the one at Walmart? It was an Evercharge and oh boy did it ever screw us over. Turns out it was a defective battery - the positive and negative terminals were mixed up - thus labeled wrong. The result of this?
It fried a cable that went from the battery to the alternator PLUS fried our radio/speakers AND our security system. So anything that was directly connected to this piece of crap battery was doomed to all hell.
Hopefully the makers of this battery take care of the costs for what their battery has done. We have to submit our invoices for repairs and get estimates for the radio and alarm. What a pain the butt this all has been!!! We feel like this has taken up so much of our time - and it really has.
So that has been our week. ugggg!

Poor Preston has had a running nose. Slowly this is turning into a cold. Hopefully a mild one and one that doesn't affect his ears. One more ear infection and he's getting tubes in his ears. uggg!

And it's supposed to dump 7-12 inches of snow this weekend. *JUST* when I thought Spring was nearing....
