I really miss my girlfriends. They are the ones who support you when you feel your worst and when you fall hard on your butt they are there to give you a good laugh. I miss having girl days where we'd put on masks, paint our nails and tell boy stories. sigh.
Since so many life events have happened (graduating from school, moving, getting married, kids...) all my friends have spread across the U.S. I love all my friendships. It's just I wish one of them lived close to me!! It does get loney at times. Yes my darling husband, I love you so much. But I need that female bonding time. I think every girl does.
I have 10 more months here in Wisconsin until we move. I do want to make some new friends here but feel bad that I'm going to leave! blahhhh!!! (as I put my hands in my face)
Life is a roller coaster, filled with every emotion possible. Some moments over flowed with happiness, others sorrow...that is life. But choosing to love through it all is all that matters. Cheers to living an abundant life!

Aloha dreams
My hot husband and I spent our very romantic honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii almost 2 years ago. Our anniversary is this Monday - April 2. Awww we'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to go back. We seriously fell in-love with that place. When we landed and first stepped foot there, we took a deep breath and could smell the ocean breeze. It was an instant stress reliever. My aunt and uncle live there and were the most incredible hosts. They have a cottage in their back yard - which we named 'the love shack.' oh boy was it ever!! ;)
Now every time I see pictures of Hawaii, I get really warm fuzzies and just daydream about going back. And then I get really sad because I know that will be a long, long, long while. With a one year old and another on the way....perhaps in a few years? I think that will be our new goal. I really should set up a savings account strictly dedicated to our Hawaii fund. That way, by the time we realistically could go, we could afford it. You know what? I'm going to do that. See - I love writing...I come up with some great ideas. awww..ok I feel better now knowing that it will be possible in the near future to go back to our happy place.....awwwww

Awwww cup of java....come to me!
God bless Starbucks. We seriously go there 2-3 times a week. Some people go out to the bars...some go out to the movies...we go to Starbucks. I guess you can say it's our guilty pleasure to spend money on overpriced coffee. But it's damn good coffee!!! :)

Call me the power walker
As I woke up this morning, I just had that "I feel like the fattest person" feeling. I know, I know...I'm pregnant - which makes this feeling a million times greater. No longer do I own my body - it temporary goes to baby #2. Everything changes when you are pregnant. Hips get wider (and stay wide forever) Butt, thighs, arms, face - pretty much your whole body explodes with fat cells. Do I even start with stretch marks? Good Lord! So long for me ever wearing a bikini ever again. Yes people, at this moment, I feel soooo unattractive!! It didn't help that I just watched the Miss USA pageant on TV. All those toothpick, gorgeous gals prancing around....at least the host, Nancy O'Dell was preggers - that made me feel a tad better.
Anyway - back to this morning...so I grabbed my running shoes, put Preston in his playpen and starting walking on the treadmill. I worked up a good sweat but only went one mile due to Preston's begging to be picked up.
This afternoon it was mild out and nice enough to take a stroll to the park. So Preston (in his umbrella stroller) and I started our power walking. I'm talking about the kind of walking where you squeeze those butt cheeks and really get into a groove. Woooweee!!! This 1 1/2 mile adventure is alot harder when you're preggers! Good grief! I walked this a million times and now here I am sweating, aching. I read that when you are pregnant, your heart is working 50% harder to support the increased blood volume and baby. My poor heart was screaming at me! I was frustrated because I've always been in good shape. Tonight I just ache - like I really over did the power walking today. Ok - I'll take it more easy - promise!
On a more random thought, I've really been craving fruit. I just ate an orange and just relished the taste. I'm really thinking about eating another one! Hmmmm...

Hello internet land!
Sorry it's been awhile. When I'm faced with the decision of whether to shower or blog....well a long steamy, relaxing shower wins most of the time. Being a mom really is a full time, 24/7 job. Making time for myself is extremely hard. I found this 5 minutes to write something as Preston is in his high chair, eating a snack. At times, I do have to admit I get envious of my single friends - who have all their time to devote to themselves and go out on a whim's notice. Don't get me wrong, being a wife and mother is the greatest thing in the world and I wouldn't trade my life for anyone elses. I just need some time to get my nails done or get a haircut or even take a shower. Shoot, going to the bathroom without my son hanging on me would be a treat!!! So all you single or no children people out there - enjoy your time now!! :)
Preston is 13 1/2 months old and is running everywhere. He's not one of those kiddos who is laid back and chill. He LOVES to explore and examine everything. Preston gives the sweetest kisses and hugs - which makes my day all the time. :)
Well speaking of the angel....he is fussing...which means my 5 minutes is up...
Hope you all are having a great day!
