Call me the power walker

As I woke up this morning, I just had that "I feel like the fattest person" feeling. I know, I know...I'm pregnant - which makes this feeling a million times greater. No longer do I own my body - it temporary goes to baby #2. Everything changes when you are pregnant. Hips get wider (and stay wide forever) Butt, thighs, arms, face - pretty much your whole body explodes with fat cells. Do I even start with stretch marks? Good Lord! So long for me ever wearing a bikini ever again. Yes people, at this moment, I feel soooo unattractive!! It didn't help that I just watched the Miss USA pageant on TV. All those toothpick, gorgeous gals prancing around....at least the host, Nancy O'Dell was preggers - that made me feel a tad better.
Anyway - back to this morning...so I grabbed my running shoes, put Preston in his playpen and starting walking on the treadmill. I worked up a good sweat but only went one mile due to Preston's begging to be picked up.
This afternoon it was mild out and nice enough to take a stroll to the park. So Preston (in his umbrella stroller) and I started our power walking. I'm talking about the kind of walking where you squeeze those butt cheeks and really get into a groove. Woooweee!!! This 1 1/2 mile adventure is alot harder when you're preggers! Good grief! I walked this a million times and now here I am sweating, aching. I read that when you are pregnant, your heart is working 50% harder to support the increased blood volume and baby. My poor heart was screaming at me! I was frustrated because I've always been in good shape. Tonight I just ache - like I really over did the power walking today. Ok - I'll take it more easy - promise!
On a more random thought, I've really been craving fruit. I just ate an orange and just relished the taste. I'm really thinking about eating another one! Hmmmm...

You are the best! I can't even walk the stairs, let alone power walk a mile and a half. You are officially my pregnant idol!

Fruit? Yummy- they say boys crave the sweetness, but I don't know, I think your body just tells you what it needs to function. Anyway-glad to hear you, Preston, and baby are well!
