Tuesday night Preston pukes. blahhhh.....oh no...pleases don't get sick! The neighbor kid's mom came over stating her little guy had a fever and wasn't looking so hot. Preston played for hours with him a day earlier.....greeaaaatttt....
5 am Wednesday the poor kid woke up with a blaz'n hot temperature. His whole body was flushed and all he could do was moan. Meanwhile, Josh jumped out of bed in severe pain - shooting pains through his groin. Holy crap! All hell was breaking loose at once. So Josh raced down to strain his pee - he gave birth to a kidney stone (that he named Bertha)
Just few hours later, King Peewee decided he couldn't stomach the blueberries and oatmeal...blahhhhhh! all over our nice beige sheets....chunks flew in a flurry, covering him head to toe....let me just say that regurgitated blue berries and beige sheets DO NOT mix. Now we have a poka-a-dotted blue and beige sheets. lovely.
So this was the start of a much shitty day. Preston's fever topped off at 103 degrees at the doctor's office. They determined it was a 'summer flu.' great. Please God let Josh and I NOT get this! So I was up until 5 am comforting the Peewee, trying to get his fever to let up. Finally the Motrin took affect and he fell asleep slobbering all over my chest. (I've done at least 4 loads of puke infested laundry in the past 2 days)
At 8:30 am (after 3 1/2 hours of sleep) Peewee wakes up - ready to start another day of grumpiness. Poor Josh had to get up at 7 am to go to physical therapy. He was dragging ass - though was soooooo dang tired that he wasn't tired anymore (hello adrenaline!)
OK Off to an emergency Starbucks run!
Life is a roller coaster, filled with every emotion possible. Some moments over flowed with happiness, others sorrow...that is life. But choosing to love through it all is all that matters. Cheers to living an abundant life!

Who needs sleep anyway?
11:00 pm - Preston finally decides to go to bed after much pleading from us
3 am - King Preston wants his 'baba'
3:20 am - Baby girl is kicking my bladder, must pee pronto
5:30 am - The little darling wakes up and wants to play
7:30 am - Right as we were getting ready to make an emergency Starbucks run, Preston conveniently falls asleep
8:15 am - *Just* as I was falling asleep (and I mean JUST), Preston wakes up all smiles from his cat nap
8:20 am - Josh scoops Preston up to go get coffee and leaves so I can get any kind of sleep (what a kickass husband)
9:15 am- Wake-up from my cat nap to smell Soy Chai Latte downstairs....awwww life is going to be OK!
10:15 am- Go outside to play
10:25 am - high tailing it back inside due to extreme heat/humidity (as Preston is kicking and crying...)
11 am - The Peewee is down again for another nap....
So this has been our morning....oh lord, and we're having another one in a month and half?

Not to self
I notice that I've been complaining alot on here. I really need to work on not bitching so much. I blame it on the pregnancy homornes!! Yeah! damn hormones! ;)
This day was a long one.
5:45 am. Preston arises with a smile and babble. Go to sleep kid. Nope. Up and at'em mom and dad! grrrrrrr why God why?! We arose, very sleep deprived and aching from head to toe. Somehow we managed to roll ourselves out of our comfy bed. First thought? Starbucks. Strong coffee. Good thing they open hella early! We were there gulping down some caffeine and danishes. Amazing what caffeine can do - it gave us the impression that we could actually make it a few hours without our eyes burning from exhaustion! With that, we headed to the best grocery store ever - Trader Joe's. They sell organic food that kicks ass. We LOVE their chocolates and wine. If you ever get a chance to go there, do it! Anyway, we got there before the store even opened (thanks Preston) and so we walked around the block a time or two. Good morning workout! After getting our goodies, we headed back home. By 11 am, Preston was done dealing and family nap was under way. awwwww I LOVE sleep.
2 hours later, Preston arises and we head off to the Madison zoo- granted not the best of best zoo's but for being free- hey it was great. I was disappointed that the giraffe exhibit was under construction (along with a bunch others.) But like I said, I can't get too picky when it's free! Remind me to go NOT on a weekend. Holy crap - talk about a mad mass of people cramming themselves through the place! Being pregnant, I just don't like strangers rubbing any body part on me nor bumping into me. So yeah - next visit will be on a Wednesday or Thursday for sure.
The better part of the day Josh's parents, brother, Josh, Preston and I enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch in the park next to the zoo. Half way through the lunch, the wind picked up a slight tad and a familiar smell arose....is that...nah...oh there it is again! Yup - definitely smelling the weed. A group of Hispanic men were hanging around their broken down car several yards up and smoking something - well the smell completely gave it away. And they proceeded to smoke for a good part of an hour. Meanwhile they kept revving up their engine, trying to figure out why the car wouldn't go in reverse. There were about 6 or so guys that just stood there dumb founded (hmmm I wonder why!) It was like 'how many stoned people does it take to just look at a broken down car and scratch themselves?!' Just call a tow truck already people! geez! Well we got a good laugh outta the whole mess! Isn't it great having free entertainment?
Well I am aching everywhere- particularly in my hips, butt, feet - so off to take a hot shower I go.
oh - I was leaning over Josh tonight and he actually felt our baby's heart beating!!! Isn't that cool?!

Starbucks tried to kill me
So there we were last week....in drastic need of a pick-me-up. We ordered our usual Soy Chai Teas in great anticipation of greatness. I sat down, eager to have a blissful moment with my tea when the something tasted a tad off. I blow it off - perhaps thinking it was an off day for the Chai Tea maker's day or something. So I continued to drink about a 1/4 of the cup...when suddenly my throat started caving in, mucus started forming in my throat...oh crap of all craps. I looked at the markings on the cup (where the order taker puts on the drink details) and it was regular milk. Note to all you who don't know....I am very VERY lactose interant and almost died from it as an infant. I looked at Josh and excused myself to make a quick self vomit trip to the restroom. I hate throwing up (let alone forcing myself) but at moments like this, I had no choice. Either I was headed straight to the ER or just stick the finger down the throat to get the poison out. Good grief it was horrible. But my loving husband had a SOY Chai when I returned. NOTE TO SELF....ALWAYS TRIPPLE CHECK THAT NO MILK IS IN MY DRINK DAMNIT!!! grrrrr to you Starbucks!

Just babbling
Yesterday Josh, Preston and I decided that once a month we are having a cultural dinning experience. With that, we went to a delicious Japanese restaurant. We opted to have the chef grill everything right in front of us - and boy was Preston so entertained! Flames fired up and his eyes just got soooo bright! Of course we ate like Kings - with lobster, steak and shrimp. I told Josh it was his Father's Day meal- which of course he was happy to celebrate early. If I was rich, I'd have these gourmet meals all the darn time! I mean, it's just soooo nice to not have to cook. Don't get me wrong, I love to cook/bake and what not. But being pregnant in this summer heat, I just have no motivation to turn on that stove. I did make rhubarb bars last night (YUM!) and that dang oven heated up the entire place. Yes, I wish we had a grill. I miss BBQing. Perhaps we'll break down and get one. Then again, we are so hesitant on getting more crap to move come next February.
On another note, we found a great community pool just a few miles down the road. We've been there twice already and oh boy, Preston is a little fishie. Most kids cry when they see the water. Preston cries when we try to take him out! Needless to say, we'll be living at the pool until I pop. I do feel like a huge whale. I see all these girls with their perfect bodies and I just snarl. I say under my breath ' Enjoy what you have now sista 'cause once you have kiddos, your body is never the same...' Yes, liposuction is looking pretty darn good right about now! Now if only I was rich....

This and that
So we are all moved in folks and now the real exhaustion has sunk in. You know that kind of tired .... when the adrenaline wears off and you are left with no energy - even the energy reserves you thought you had saved up are gone. Yup- it's that kind of pathetic exhaustion! Josh and I need about a week's worth of sleep and perhaps a vacation to a beachy paradise.
But the good news is, we are unpacked (for the most part) and getting nestled in.
Today is a real rainy, muggy day. The kind of day that just makes you tired no matter how much sleep you got the night before. Doesn't Starbucks sound awesome right about now? Aww perhaps I should just brew my own darn coffee. I think I just might do just that.
On a brighter note, we bought some fresh cut flowers the other day. Ohhhhh how our place smells so fresh and spring-like! It's really the simple things, like fresh flowers, that make my day so bright. Perhaps we should get some every week!
Ok I'm babbling - time for a coffee wake up!
